Neville Thiele

Dr. Albert Neville Thiele OAM (b 20 December 1920) born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, generally known as Neville Thiele and publishing under the name A. Neville Thiele, is a distinguished Australian audio engineer.

He is particularly noted for his work on electronic filters and on developing the Thiele/Small parameters for characterising loudspeakers as an aid to loudspeaker cabinet design.

• 1976 published together with Richard H. Small a famous paper about loudspeaker cabinet design which characterizes a loudspeaker by its Thiele Small parameters (TSP)
